Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica) has been used to treat a number of conditions for thousands of years in India, China, and Indonesia.
It was used to heal wounds, improve mental clarity, and treat skin conditions such as leprosy and psoriasis.
Some people use it to treat respiratory infections such as colds, and it was used for that in the past in China.
It has been called “the fountain of life” because legend has it that an ancient Chinese herbalist lived for more than 200 years as a result of taking Gotu Kola.
It acts as a sedative and helps calm the nerves and treat Insomnia.
It contains Triterpenoids.
Note: This is NOT Kola Nut (Cola nitida) which is high in Caffeine.
Not recommended for those under the age of 18 years.
To make an infusion:
Use 1 heaped Tablesppon of the herb per cup required.
Add to pot
Pour in boiling water
Allow to infuse for 7-10 minutes
Strain into cup and enjoy.
Can be served hot or cold
Best taken without milk
Use up to 3 times per day as required.
