Darjeeling Tea Lingia FTGFOP1 Leaf
This Darjeeling Tea is from the Lingia Estate.
This mid season production is a bright (FTGFOP1) FineTip Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe 1 grade loose leaf tea.
The Lingia Tea Estate is situated close to the Nepalese border.
This tea offers a flowery and rather soft taste thanks to its high portion of Sinensis leaves.
The name Lingia is derived from the word Lin-ge which, in the language of the Lepcha, means triangle of eight mountain tops.
Lingia was founded in the 1860’s by the Wernickes Family and is located in the Golden Valley approximately 35km west from Darjeeling.
The tea bushes are grown at up to 1 848 meters.
It has pleasing qualities with a light golden infusion.
The taste is soft and flowery with an aromatic scent.
Darjeeling lies in the foot hills of the Himalayas in India.
From Darjeeling you look up and see the Himalayas ahead of you- Kanchenjunga is quite often visible and spectacular at dawn.
